Bruno's Story

Handsome Shepherd!MEET BRUNO!

If you are looking for an adventure partner, look no further than Bruno! This handsome boy is a 2 year old Shepherd mix that weighs in at a healthy 80 lbs. Having come from a background of neglect, Bruno caught the eye (and heart) of the animal control officer on his case and she took him home to foster. He has been thriving ever since and is the happiest boy. He is grateful to be safe and loved and has shown himself to be very loyal.

Bruno is crate trained and house trained. He is quiet in his kennel. He is a smart boy who is off leash and e collar trained. Bruno needs an active family who has experience with shepherds since he relies on his handler for confidence and calmness. He is well behaved on walks and hikes, making him the perfect adventure buddy!

Bruno shares his foster home with 5 dogs, a cat, and two sheep. He has shown mild food guarding with other dogs, though it is easily managed by feeding him in his crate. To set him up for success in his future home, he should be fed separately. If he were to go to a home with a cat, the cat should be dog savvy, otherwise he may be too interested and try to chase.

Bruno has met older children and has done well. He would do best with children 16+ due to his size and energy.

Bruno’s adoption donation fee is $450, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for him by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org. Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.
