Bruno's Story

Bruno<br/><br/>Meet Bruno, a grateful, calm, and observant medium-sized bully who is about two to three years old! He's low energy and loves people. He greets everyone with a sniff and some pets, then lounges nearby and asks for more attention when he wants it. In new situations, he likes to sniff around and take everything in.<br/><br/>Bruno loves adults and enjoys kids too. His favorite thing is running on the grass with them, and he's happy to relax beside the couch while they play. He's good with other dogs. He gets excited at the first hello, then settles down once he's had a good sniff. When he's left alone, he naps, and he's happy in his crate with a bone or lick mat.<br/><br/>He's potty trained and crate trained, and he has great leash skills. He doesn't pull and listens well. He knows "sit" and "go home." He's a brachycephalic breed, so he keeps cool on short walks in warm weather, and he loves running around a private park or a friend's yard. A good bone is his guilty pleasure, and he loves pupsicles too!<br/><br/>Bruno is a self-proclaimed couch hippo who loves a long nap followed by big stretches. He does best with structure, enrichment, and a calm routine.<br/><br/>Bruno is a great fit for apartment living and would do well in any type of household. He'd be a wonderful match for a family, a couple, or an independent adult, and he's a good starter dog. He'd do best as the only dog in the home.<br/><br/>**What his foster says about him:**<br/>"I love Bruno because he is super smart and grateful. He gives you toys as a greeting and as a way of showing you that he loves you. He gives you little gifts, shows you his belly, and can be very funny."<br/><br/>**INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?**<br/>To adopt apply on our website [www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt](https://www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt) and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.<br/><br/>PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.<br/><br/>Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!

True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy
First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
