Bruno Shih Tzu Mix Temple, TX

Meet Bruno! Bruno is a Shih Tzu mix, is 2 years old, neutered, utd on vaccines and heartworm negative. He has limited use of his back legs and we are not sure the cause. Our vet found no injuries preventing him from walking. Bruno will raise himself to a bit if he wants to reach something. He is able to go out to potty by himself and if kept on a regular schedule and easy access to a yard he is will go potty outside.

Bruno loves people and is affectionate, in that he likes to snuggle. He does not, however like any person or any dog getting in his face. For this reason, he will be most successful in a home without children. Bruno is dog friend selective, preferring the company of smaller female dogs but would be happiest as a single dog home. He is kennel trained and sleeps in his kennel quietly at night. He enjoys a bath and the attention that comes with it, and is learning that he likes to be brushed as well.

Bruno has a wheel chair and is making big improvements in learning how to move around on wheels! He came to us from another area of Texas and it seems he may have been born with this condition, and is just more comfortable moving around in his own way. With some encouragement and therapy he may build enough strength and desire to walk as he can stand for a bit of time now with therapy his foster home has given him.
