Bruiser's Story
Bruiser is estimated at 10 months old and is a Shih Tzu/Poodle. 13 lbs at last weigh in. He’s a short but solid little guy. He will be getting his vetting done on Thursday.
He came to Heart very afraid of humans. He has come such a long ways in 2 weeks and now that he’s settled in, has become such a floofy goofball who tolerates some short snuggles! He’s a busy boy and each day brings more fun antics. He loves other dogs, and has done well in his cat test. He’s still going to be unsure about new people and take time to adjust to his new family and new people in general. He’s been working on leash training. He will walk only when he wants to, and will still sploot when he refuses, which is often considering the world outside is so new. He does need a belly band at this time in the house. He kennels pretty well and has not been messing his kennel. He needs continued structure in this department in order to achieve potty trained status.
Bruiser will require a fenced yard and a canine playmate in his adoptive home. Also a home where the owners are not gone long hours. He appreciates a fun filled day so he can sleep soundly at night. He can be barky at times, so would not be suitable for apartment living.
He has some stuff to work on right now, but is an awesome and adorable little boy and will bring some lucky family a lot of joy!
Bruiser’s adoption fee is $300. Applications can be submitted at www.heartrescueteam.com.
