Bruiser's Story

Meet Bruiser

Bruiser was released to rescue when he was barely 4 weeks old.

He has an estimated birthday of 2/7/2026. He is a sweet boy with a beautiful black and white smooth coat. He has a permanent smile. Although he started out alone - he grew up on rescue with the “Wicked” litter. He is a gentle boy who loves to play and hang with the big dogs, but knows how to quiet down to little dog energy. Bruiser will likely be a medium size and top out around 40-45 pounds.

He loves toys and treats and looks forward to every meal. He plays well with the dogs in his foster home and definitely would enjoy another dog that likes to play. Bruiser is a talker - but not a barker

Here is what her foster has to say:

Bruiser- Loves to play with other dogs but is also content laying in his humans lap watching the world go by. He enjoys playing outside and following his human around the house. He isnt shy and tends to be curious about new sounds, environments, toys, and people. He likes hanging out with other puppies and resident dogs in the home. Still working on potty training and crate training but he does tend to go in the crate when he wants a nap or its bedtime.

He likes to be outside to play - and will explore every inch of the yard - sticks are his favorite! He is curious so secure fencing is a must. He has been exposed to cats in his foster home and is curious so a slow introduction would be best. He does great in the car (he rides in a wire crate for safety), and will ride around with you in a sling so he can stay close.

He sleeps quietly in his pen at night has started to potty train to litter box and is doing great! He is not 100% there yet but with a little time and dedication he will be running to the door in no time.

Bruiser is ready to make his mark on your heart.

Adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BSD/Dog

Bruno's Foundation's Adoption Policy
We are a foster based facility, meaning all of our animals are in homes, not a shelter environment. This allows us to get to know them better, and provide on one training for each animal. In order to limit the amount of people going in and out of our foster homes, we do require a filled out application prior to a meet and greet. We are a 501c3 non profit. All adoption donations are tax deductible! Please click the link on this page to fill out an application for adoption. Allow 48 hours for a reply, we only have one person who reviews applications so please be patient. A phone call will be scheduled should your application fit the needs of the pet you’re applying for. During this time, we will set up a meet and greet, then a home check (virtual or in person). We DO allow out of state adoptions however you will be required to travel to pick up, and this will depend on how the pet you’re applying for does with travel. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed prior to adoption.
