Brucie is a very handsome, young boy looking for a forever home of his own. We believe he is a Boxer mix, sporting a very attractive brindle coat. We estimate Brucie’s date of birth at February 10, 2021. At the time of this posting he is just under two years old. He is about 60 lbs.<br/> <br/>Brucie loves people and is very affectionate. Given his size and energy level, he would not be an ideal canine companion for younger children. We expect children over the age of 12 would be ok. And of course, an all-adult home would be perfect for Brucie!<br/> <br/>Brucie is very active and energetic, and sometimes can get carried away with his play. He loves running in the secure, fenced yard of his foster home. He keeps himself entertained; he would not do well in a dog park or day care. <br/> <br/>An ideal home for Brucie is one in which he can thrive as an only dog, with a family experienced with larger dogs who sometimes can get out of hand. Brucie’s only “watch-out” is that he can be a bit of a resource guarder with his food and bones, but this issue can readily be managed as he gets to know his new family and as they learn more about him!!<br/> <br/>As is the case with all young, larger dogs, Brucie would greatly benefit from obedience training which can also be a bonding experience with his new family.
