We are an efficient group of resourceful people, but please note that the timeline to complete these steps and processes will vary based on the availability of volunteers. Please be kind and patient as we are all working hard towards a common goal. We give every application we receive a large amount of attention. To find the perfect match for each dog, it is necessary to review every application several times on different occasions to ensure we don’t miss any important detail. If you are not selected as the adopter, please do not be discouraged as it does not mean that you are not qualified. While we may find an applicant suitable, it can sometimes be the case that the decision was made not to select a potential adopter due to them not being an ideal fit for the specific dog. It is also possible that another candidate who was found to be of equal suitability applied earlier. If you do not get selected for your initial adoption choice but want to apply for another dog, please email us (adopt@eightpaws.ca) to have your application directed towards an alternate dog. There is no need to fill out a new application. Our partner, Beagle Rescue Network, saved him along with all the other dogs (and had the animal hoarder shutdown).<br/><br/>About Him/Her<br/>Brownie is a one of a kind perfect companion that is so rare to find. He is sweet, gentle, quiet, intelligent, but can also be playful. He is still new and adjusting to the comforts of living safely and securely indoors. Brownie is slowly emerging from his shy doggy shell. The more comfortable he feels in his foster home, the more he reveals his true inner sweetness. As we all know, good things take time. He walks well on leash and is gentle and friendly around his doggie friends and even strangers. He is not yet comfortable around the cats. This handsome boy is making progress everyday while he gains his confidence. He's continuing to reveal more of his true inner sweetness and gentleness each and every day. He is patiently waiting for loving adopters who will help him bolster his self-esteem, socialize him with people and other dogs, and complete his life.
