Brownie's Story
How this pet arrived: Brownie was brought in by her previous owner on August 23, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you: True to her name, Brownie is an absolute sweet treat who becomes affectionate once she settles in with her favorite people. She has done great with other dogs on shelter social walks, and fun toys and tasty snacks are the perfect recipe for winning her heart. When meeting new friends or exploring unfamiliar places, she can be a little "fresh out of the oven", so she appreciates having the time and space to cool down and feel comfortable at her own pace. Brownie will thrive in a calm home with kids aged 10 and older, as well as a cozy retreat to tuck into so she feels safe and secure when guests visit. Once she is fully comfortable, her playful energy really starts to set, occasionally showing up as jumpy, mouthy excitement that will improve with consistency and positive-reinforcement training. For an adopter who is happy to enjoy affection served on her terms and ready to let this charming girl rise into her best self, Brownie just might be the perfect batch to complete your family! At SDHS:Brownie has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for adoption! Shy/Fearful Dog: Brownie requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about her. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 26.8lbs Age: 1yrs 9mths 3wks Animal has been Spayed
