This curious little guy loves to play with other dogs and is always ready to explore his surroundings.<br/><br/>He’s house-trained and sleeps comfortably in his crate at night—though he’d much rather snuggle up in a cozy human bed if given the chance. Like a true dachshund, Brownie absolutely loves burrowing under blankets and will happily make himself right at home beneath the covers.<br/><br/>Brownie is looking for a patient and understanding adopter. He can be a bit shy at first and needs time to build trust, but going slow is the key to his heart. He’ll let you know when he needs space with a gentle growl—just his way of saying “not right now.” Once you’ve earned his trust, though, Brownie becomes the ultimate “velcro dog” and will want to be by your side at all times—personal space included!<br/><br/>He thrives on routine and would do best in a calm home without young children. Experience with dachshunds (or similar breeds) is strongly preferred, as Brownie embodies many classic traits of the breed.<br/><br/>Brownie walks well on a leash, though he can pull a bit when excited. Don’t let his short legs fool you—this little guy can jump surprisingly high!
