Brownie's Story

Meet Brownie, aka Miss B! This sweet pup loves to meet people, walks well on her leash, rides well in the car, and is potty and crate trained. She’s got energy for walks & playing but will be your best couch cuddler too! Beware she has the cutest snore ever!

Brownie is very smart and eager to please, & has been busy as a B learning her basic commands- sit, down, off, “look” at me, stay, come, drop it & waiting at thresholds, and has mastered many of them. We’re also working on “leave it” with success. Brownie does well with adequate exercise and enrichment with toys to keep her happiest. She would do best in an adult household or one with older kids who can learn her commands.

Miss B will do best with a fenced yard where she can play freely. She enjoys playing ball and has started to work on some fun agility exercises like weaving poles and jumps. She likes variety to keep things interesting and is a very quick learner!

At this time it would be best if Brownie would be the only pet in the home. She’s not ready for busy, crowded places like breweries, etc. We’re presently working with a trainer on dog overexcitement/socialization skills and she is doing well so far! Her trainer is committed to her success and will continue her training support after adoption!

Star qualities:

-That sweet face

-Meets people nicely/loving personality

-Potty trained/Holds in crate

-Crate trained (3-4 hours tested during day/sleeps quietly all night in crate in foster parents bedroom)

-Good on leash/harness

-Also trained on transitional leash

-Rides well in the car

-Treat motivated

-knows many basic commands

-Loves to be with her people

-Tolerates her bath when needed

-cutest snore ever

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Brownie, please complete an application at lastdaydogs.com

Tails of the Unwanted's Adoption Policy
Our main goal during the adoption process is to find the perfect match for you and your family. Our process includes: Adoption Application Phone Interview Vet Check Personal Reference Check Home Photos The most important part of our adoption process is the phone interview, this is where we get to know you and your family more and your needs and wants for a new family member. During the phone interview try to tell us as much as possible about your lifestyle and family so we can make sure you are getting the perfect match. At the end of the phone interview we may suggest a different dog due to the dog you put in an application for not fitting your lifestyle needs or vice versa, this is for everyones best interest so please do not get discouraged. We want you and the dog to be happy for the rest of their lives. The home photos are in lieu of a home visit. We do out of state adoptions so sometimes home visits are not feasible. For the home photos we are looking for where the dog will spend majority of their time (i.e. yard, living room, bedroom, kitchen). Our applications process is on a somewhat of a first come first serve basis, but in the end it is who is a better fit for the dog. This process can take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks depending on how many applications we are processing.
