Brownie's Story

Meet Brownie! This adorable 5-month-old girl is looking for a forever family to call her own!

We actually met Brownie a few months ago when her siblings were surrendered to our shelter. At the time, her family decided to keep her. Unfortunately, they recently realized that having two dogs was more than they could manage, so Brownie has now joined her siblings in the search for a forever home.

Brownie is a sweet, happy, and playful puppy who loves attention and making new friends! She absolutely loves other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine playmate in her new home. She's also been introduced to our shelter cats. She was very curious about them at first, but after receiving a little swat from one of the cats, she quickly got the message and politely walked away!

Like any 5-month-old puppy, Brownie is still learning the ropes. We are working with her on basic manners, crate training, leash walking, and potty training. She's a smart girl who catches on quickly, and with some patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, we think she will be a wonderful companion. With both Husky and Australian Shepherd in her, she's likely to be an active, intelligent dog who will enjoy having things to do and a family to keep her busy!

Brownie currently weighs 25 pounds at 5 months old, and we estimate she will be around 45 pounds when fully grown, although that's just our best guess!

She is current on her vaccinations and will be spayed before leaving the shelter.

Brownie is at such a fun age! She's young enough to learn and grow with her new family, but old enough that her personality is really starting to shine. She just needs someone willing to put in the time to help her become the best dog she can be.
