Brother Che'lu SAT's Story

Che'lu used to live on the farm with his people, though as a companion, rather than a full working dog. His people have recently moved into the city, and into an apartment, and a 95 pound 2 year old Great Pyrenees would like a little more room, please!
Our friend who runs the shelter said " this is the most beautiful dog I've ever met" which is saying something! He does have a haircut, unfortunately, but we were able to see pictures of hm from a baby to pre-shave and he is one beautiful dog- even for a Pyr.
Che'lu, which means brother, is sweet with all people and pets, fantastic on a leash, and just a big huggable guy. He would LOVE a family where he can be himself and not worry about people falling over him in tight spaces.

Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Thanks for considering rescue with TGPR! We’ll start by contacting your vet to confirm that all current pets (yes, even cats!) are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on heartworm prevention. Next, we’ll reach out to your three personal references to get to know you better and help identify great matches for your lifestyle. If you rent, please let your landlord know we’ll be calling to confirm large dogs are allowed. Then we’ll schedule a home visit, a friendly in-person chat to see your setup and share Pyr tips! Once approved, you’ll be able to connect with fosters to find your perfect match. Approvals are good for a year! And remember: TGPR commits to our dogs for life. If anything ever changes and you can’t keep your Pyr, we’ll always take them back. Let us know if you have any questions. We’re excited to help you find your floof!
