What is Elmbrook Humane Society’s adoption process?

If you would like to pursue the adoption of an animal in our care, please complete our adoption application. Adoption applications are processed within 24 hours (same day if received during office hours). Adoption applications can be completed in person or in the comfort of your home. We ask that all family members meet the adoptable animal prior to the adoption being approved. If you are adopting a dog and have another dog in your household, we ask that you bring in your dog to meet their potential new companion. We do check home ownership or seek landlord approval as part of the adoption process. Home ownership can usually be verified the same day and we attempt to verify landlord approval same day. “The Right Start Seminar” offered by our organization is included with every dog adoption.
