Bronson's Story

Hey. I’m Bronson.
I’m Bronson, a 5-year-old Exotic Bully, clocking in at a solid 55 pounds of muscle, charm, and questionable decision-making. I currently reside with Freedom Frenchie Rescue, where I’ve been informed that I am “a lot,” but in a good way.
I came here as a rescue plea from San Bernardino Animal Shelter after animal control found me “aggressively fighting a garbage can.” Now listen—was I aggressive? Or was I hungry and defending my right to snacks? History will decide. What I do know is that I was misunderstood, underfed, and ready for a comeback tour.
The Redemption Arc
Since landing in rescue, I’ve been finding my groove. As the world turns, I’ve been becoming more me every day—more relaxed, more confident, and way more comfortable knowing I’m safe. Turns out when you’re not fighting garbage cans for survival, life gets pretty sweet. But I do go for the occasional mop and bucket, sometimes I just have to fuck shit up and laugh! I am a dog and y’all are humans you have bad days to! But hey no one ever gets hurt and I do not go after people and dogs.
I love my little Frenchie foster brother and I’m learning the ropes with my other foster siblings. The only thing I’m still side-eyeing is height ( they are super trained rotties) Tall dogs make me nervous. HOWEVER, I have learned that tall dogs are extremely useful when toys get stuck or treats are just out of reach. So we coexist peacefully. Mostly. I can eat next to them and everything is fine and sometimes I do think about curling up next his lady but I don’t think cheating is her thing.
The House Rules (and How I Feel About Them) 🏠
Cats? Hard no...haha I tried so hard to get under that couch and it was not happening. I cat wasn’t even under there anymore and I was looking forever! Man they are quick!
I’m not good at hide-and-seek, the cat always wins, and frankly, it hurts my confidence. Chickens? Allegedly we have chickens, but I’ve never noticed them and would like that statement to stand.
I do best in a home without cats, but I’m cool with dogs when introductions are done right. Let me repeat myself INTRODUCTIONS ARE DONE RIGHT, 333 please! I’m a respectful dude once everyone understands the hierarchy (spoiler: I think it’s me, but I’m flexible).
My People
I secretly love preteens and older kids ( not I’m not a weirdo we are just on the same brain waves) They’re fun, they understand my energy, and they don’t judge me for being a little extra. I’m a champion cuddler and a huge fan of snuggling in bed watching classic TV with my friend Gabby (teenager). If there’s a couch, a blanket, and a human nearby, I will find them.
At night, I sleep in my own bed next to my foster mom. She tucks me in every night, which I graciously accept. I won’t tell her that I prefer to fluff my own bed like an adult. Some traditions are sacred. The blanket on me is the icing on the cake!
Social Life & Celebrity Status
I LOVE going out. I love meeting new people. I love taking pictures. I love attention. I am basically the guy at the party who knows everyone and somehow ends up in all the photos.
Want a dog who’s down for anything?
Going out? I’m in.
Staying home? I’m in.
Sharing food? I was born ready.
I am a social butterfly, a cuddle extraordinaire, and honestly? A great date.
Health Check: Strong Like Bull
When I first arrived, I had a urinary infection that caused blood to come out in a scary amount. No not in my urine it was after I urinated. Not my finest moment. The rescue got me on antibiotics, got me neutered, and—like the pros they are—called it: neutering fixed an underlying prostate issue. Everything cleared up quickly, and now I’m feeling fantastic. Healthy. Comfortable. Thriving, and peeing like an Olympian. Gold medal please!
The Bottom Line
I’m full of love, chaos, loyalty, and heart. I’m the kind of dog who will be your ride-or-die, your couch buddy, your wingman, and your emotional support hype man. I’m an exotic low riding bully do your research!
I may have started this chapter throwing hands with a garbage can (reminder: food), but I’m ready to end it exactly where I belong—with people who get me.
Love,
Bronson
I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, my adoption donation fee is $1100.00. You can apply for @freedomfrenchierescue.org and I am currently being fostered in Mesa, AZ.
