Bronco's Story

Meet Bronco!

Bronco joined us through our partnership with local animal control, and he is exactly what his name suggests: big energy and personality, and a whole lot of horsepower. Bronco is strong for his size and brings enthusiasm to everything he does. He's an active, athletic dog who's going to thrive with a home ready to channel all that spark into training, enrichment, and adventure.

When he first arrived, Bronco needed a little time to settle, but he quickly became affiliative and affectionate, leaning into pets and snuggles in sweet little bursts. He can be jumpy and eager when he's excited, but he genuinely wants to engage. He already knows "sit" and "paw," and he lights up when it's time for tug, he's incredibly engaged in play and loves having a job to do. Bronco will truly shine with continued positive reinforcement training. He's smart and responsive, and with clear guidance and consistency, he has so much potential to blossom into an amazing pup partner.

Due to his size, strength, and energy level, Bronco is looking for a home that can match his pace. With structure, outlets for his energy, and a committed home, Bronco has all the makings of an incredibly fun and devoted canine companion and best friend.

Dogs: Bronco is tolerant of other dogs. Have a dog at home? We're happy to set up a meet-and-greet at HSCC to ensure a good match.
Cats: Bronco may thrive in a home without cats.
Children: Bronco may thrive in a home with teenagers and adults.

Ready to adopt your new best friend?
Submit an adoption application today! You'll receive an email with all the next steps. At HSCC, dog adoptions are by appointment, and we'll schedule your counseling session promptly to help you find the pawfect canine companion!

*As a NorthCountry Star, Bronco's care at HSCC is sponsored by our animal-loving friends at NorthCountry Federal Credit Union for the month of March.
