Brock's Story

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue. Brock is a very handsome fella who makes friends wherever he goes. He is a polite gentleman and he would love to belong to a family that will include him in their plans. Brock is the kind of guy who hangs out with his people. Whether they are getting cozy on the couch, going for a drive or taking a walk this boy is ready to go! Brock is also quite the gentleman on the leash. We believe that Brock might have some hearing impairment but that's ok because he stays close to home and his family. Brock enjoys the company of other dogs and would be happy with a calm, respectful canine companion. He is proving to be a good boy with the kitty in his foster home and we think he would be fine in a home with one. Brock loves everyone, including children, and everyone loves him. Because of the quick and unpredictable nature of small children we are asking for a home without children under 9 years of age. Brock has impeccable house manners and can be taken just about anywhere. Brock recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. He also received a dental with extractions. Brock is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. He is 12 years old and weighs 11 pounds. Please note, we have approximately a 250 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Save-A-Mutt's Adoption Policy

Save-A-Mutt is a Foster Based rescue. All our dogs are in foster homes, there is no facility to visit. All adopters are required to fill out an application. As we review the application, we may have questions - and prefer email to ask/answer them. So please check your email regularly. We may remove adoptable animals off of Petfinder while we work on applications - but will contact you to let you know. We like to have one good app per pet as not to disappoint people. It can take a couple days to finish an application, depending on your references, etc. Please let your references know that will be sending emails - they sometime go to junk mail. We enjoy open communication, but we are a volunteer organization, so please be patient. Once we receive all the information we need, we will schedule a phone interview, home check, etc. Thank you and we will be in touch! Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make acceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
