I myself think i'm a pretty cool dude. Take a chance on me.</p> Our adoption hours are Tuesday-Friday 3-6PM and 1-5PM on the weekends. We are located in Burlington, Iowa. All dog adoptions include a health exam, Rabies, DHPP and Distemper vaccinations, Heartworm check, Sterilization and post surgical pain medication and microchip and registration. All cat adoptions include A health check up, FELV and FiV screening, FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, sterilization with pain medications and microchip and registration. Des Moines County Humane Society's Adoption Policy

IMPORTANT: All inquiries MUST be made by calling the shelter directly. Please do not respond to our ads on Petfinder.com. Our phone number is 319.753.8389. Adoption hours: Tues-Fri from 3-6pm and from 1-5 on the weekends. We are closed on Mondays. Applications are on our website at desmoinescountyhumanesociety.org under Adopt, then chose dog or cat application and fill it out. If more than one application is received on an animal, the best home for that animal is chosen based on numerous criteria.
