Saving Sumter's Strays's Adoption Policy
Submit application. We do conduct a vet reference check, schedule a tour/meet and greet with the pet you are interested in. You can come walk a dog or several dogs and spend time with them. Let us know and we can schedule a time to go over application and finalize

The process includes screening by our adoption coordinator, application approval, then an appointment can be scheduled for a meet and greet.
The adoption fee ranges from $250 to $350 covers: vaccinations, spay/neuter, deworming, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and a microchip. If a dog is heartworm positive, treatment will be facilitated by Saving Sumter's Strays. We do require current and past pets must have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated (up to date), and kept on heart worm preventative.
