Briton Blu-Milwaukee, WI's Story

Meet Briton Blu — A Loyal, Loving Companion Looking for His Forever Home

Briton Blu (pronounced Brighton Blue) is a sweet, loyal, and loving dog who is looking for a new forever home where he can receive the time, attention, exercise, and affection he deserves. Briton Blu is very well-behaved, obedient, and wonderfully quiet. He rarely barks and is a well-mannered companion in the home. He loves his people, enjoys cuddling, and would thrive with someone who has plenty of time to spend with him. He loves children and is comfortable around cats. His compatibility with other dogs is more individual—it really depends on the other dog’s personality. Briton Blu walks nicely on a leash. However, he will chase deer, squirrels, rabbits, or geese. He would need a securely fenced-in yard where he can safely enjoy outdoor time when he’s not being walked and an owner who has time to walk and play with him.

Briton Blu’s owner is giving him up because owner’s work hours have changed. Briton Blu is crate trained and very accommodating, but he shouldn’t be in his crate more than 4 hours, and due to owner’s new hours, that is no longer an option. A fenced-in yard would be a perfect solution to this issue and is a must.

Briton Blu is ready to be someone's devoted companion. He is loyal, affectionate, obedient, loving, and happiest when he can be close to his people. He deserves a home where he can spend time being part of a family.

Save the Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step in our adoption process is for the prospective adopter to complete our Adoption Application Questionnaire which helps us best match you with the the dog that would be most suited to your home environment and expectations. Email us at info@savethedals.org with the name of the dog that interests you and we will send you our Adoption Application Questionnaire. If based on the Application Questionnaire we think one of our dogs is a good match to your home environment and expectations, we will follow up with a phone call, advise you of the adoption fee, schedule a home visit if applicable, and arrange a meet and greet with the dog. Adopters are also required to sign our Adoption Contract; you will be provided a copy of the contract for you to review and ask questions before you adopt the dog. Note that we often have multiple applicants wanting to adopt the same dog. Our selection process is not based on whose application we receive first. It is based on who we believe will be the best match for the dog, allowing for the greatest success of a high quality, loving forever home, with the least likelihood of the dog needing to be returned to rescue. We commit to the life of each dog we rescue, such that at any point in the life of the dog if its adopter is no longer able to keep the dog, the adopter signs our adoption contract agreeing that they will return the dog to Save The Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue. The dog is not to be turned into an animal shelter.
