Bristol's Story

Meet Bristol! Bristol is a 2 yr old, 9 lb Yorkie mix who was left behind at a chicken farm in north Georgia. Her family had been employed on the farm and did not take her with them when they moved on. We were told by the owner of the farm that poor Bristol had never been outside or around other people or animals, so understandably she was quite out of sorts when she arrived at her foster home. She has come so so far though and we couldn't be more proud! She's a sweet little girl who loves to sit on her foster mom's lap and gives kisses now! She's also been great with all of the other dogs and cats in the home. Bristol is still a bit wary of strangers and new situations, so she will need a patient adopter willing to give her some time to warm up and get comfortable. Nothing helps a shy, timid dog as much as another dog - so Bristol will definitely need a more confident dog in her forever home. Rescue Me Ga Inc's Adoption Policy

We have an application process that we require for any adoption. The application can be found on our website at www.rmgdogs.org - its the first step in our process and required before we set up a time for you to meet the dog you are interested in …. ALL of our dogs are completely vetted - all vaccines - spay or neuter - dewormings - chip - heart worm tested and treated if needed and ready to be loved. WE are foster based which means our dogs are in homes or temporary boarding when we rescue them -- we know their personalities and what would be their best fit! Our dogs come from a rural Georgia shelter and often we take in surrenders from families facing difficult situations….. WE do post many dogs still in need at animal control as well as all who have been saved already that are in foster homes. We do NOT operate a facility where you can visit the dogs unless you contact us to possibly meet one already in a foster

RESCUE ME GEORGIA is a 501c3 non profit rescue group dedicated to saving dogs from a small rural shelter and county outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Since our start November of 2011, we have saved more than 5000 animals in need and have been able to be a part of so many lives changed!
