Brie 's Story

*PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE ABOUT HER PUPPIES. THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE YET. WE WANT TO FOCUS ON FINDING BRIE A FAMILY FIRST*

Momma Brie came from a home with 50+ dogs that were seized by animal control. When she was found, she was found with 3 puppies that were still nursing from her. Sadly, help was too late for one of her babies. Between the trauma of losing a puppy and being taken from a bad situation…she was very stressed out and scared.

Momma was brought into our rescue and has since gotten used to the idea of being part of a family. She is still timid and will be scared when she first gets to a new, unfamiliar place…but she will trust you and come to be a wonderful companion.

As far as other dogs, she will charge at them. We are suspecting she is still in mommy mode and protecting herself and her babies. Please understand she had to compete with 50+ dogs before she came to us. It will take time for her to get used to another dog. You can expect growling, lunging, and barking until she understands that harm will not be inflicted on her. Keep in mind, this could take months!!! Ideally, she would be someone’s only companion and the center of attention.

If you’re ready to meet Brie, please submit an application.

https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/66b189c45d6f9afa2c07afb8/6986836228f7001030074db6
