Brie's Story

Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Please read our eligibility requirements and apply on our website: www.ildoberescue.com/adopt. After an application is submitted, additional inquiries can email dobes@ildoberescue.com.

Meet Brie, a lovable 1-year-old female Doberman who is making her way into a new chapter of life. Found as a stray in Chicago, Brie was sadly left unclaimed but is now thriving in the care of her foster family. She’s a hefty girl and could stand to lose a few pounds – and even then she’s still going to be a pretty big female!

Brie warmed up to her foster family very quickly, showing her sweet, affectionate side right from the start. When she gets excited she gets the zoomies so watch out – when she’s in full force she could easily knock over someone who isn’t ready for her! She has not yet been exposed to dogs or cats.

Brie is crate trained and proved herself to be a total gem during her car transport, traveling like a pro. She knows “sit” and is very treat motivated so training will be fun and rewarding.
