He considers every single person he meets his best friend right off the bat. Briar is impressionable and follows the lead, so placing him around balanced, stable dogs will be key to keeping him out of trouble, as a negative environment or an aggressive dog could easily rub off on him.

When guests come over, Briar welcomes them with a loud, booming bark of absolute excitement and joy. He gets so thrilled that he practically falls over himself until he can finally wiggle his way up to greet you properly. He is a wonderfully clingy guy who wants all the snuggles and attention he can get, though he is also learning to chill out on his own when it is time for a good nap.

Briar is a smart boy who is learning his cues, though his brain works a mile a minute and he can sometimes have a hard time focusing because the world is just so exciting. His potty training is coming along nicely, and he is working hard on settling down at night as he adjusts to new sounds in the quiet house. When he plays with other dogs, he is rambunctious, playful, and full of hilarious, expressive sounds that will keep you laughing all day long.

Do not miss out on this. Puppies like Briar grow up in the blink of an eye, and this is your chance to experience all the precious puppy moments, from goofy tumbles to endless couch snuggles. Come meet Briar today and start making memories that will last a lifetime.

We estimate Briar was born around June 1, 2026.

---------------------

Because these puppies came from the Wind River Reservation and we do not have previous history on them, we are unsure of their breed mix.

Important Notice - This Puppy is Available Through Our Foster to Forever (FTF) Program

This puppy is available exclusively through the Laramie Animal Welfare Society's Foster to Forever (FTF) Program. The adoption process will begin through the FTF Program; however, the adoption will not be finalized until all required veterinary care has been completed, including the mandatory spay/neuter procedure at 16 weeks of age.

The Foster to Forever Program is designed for young puppies who are not yet old enough to complete their required spay/neuter surgery. Approved FTF families will welcome the puppy into their home as a foster with the intention of adopting.
Before applying, please understand:

Applicants must reside in Albany County, Wyoming.
FTF families must be committed to fostering the puppy with the intention of adopting.
The puppy will remain under LAWS' care and legal responsibility until all required veterinary requirements are completed and the adoption is finalized.
FTF families are responsible for providing the puppy's daily care, including food, treats, and supplies during the program period.
Families must attend all scheduled LAWS veterinary appointments, including booster vaccinations and the mandatory spay/neuter procedure at 16 weeks of age, and maintain regular communication with their Adoption Coordinator throughout the program.

Please review the complete Foster to Forever Program requirements before applying.
