Briar's Story

Meet Briar!

Life is a race, and Briar is determined to win it.

DOB: 03/03/2026

With her gorgeous velvet-brown coat, sweet personality, and absolutely no concept of a speed limit, Briar is equal parts athlete, comedian, and professional cuddle partner.

Whether she's sprinting across the yard, launching into a game of tug, chasing squeaky toys, wrestling with her dog friends, or showing off her championship-caliber zoomies, Briar approaches most of life with one speed: FULL SEND.

But once that puppy battery finally runs out? She's all about the snuggles and would happily curl up as close to her people as physically possible.

Briar is one of Daisy's ten puppies and has been raised in a loving foster home since the day she was born. She's growing into a smart, funny, affectionate little girl with plenty of personality.

Briar absolutely LOVES other dogs and needs an adult canine companion in her forever home. She's playful, energetic, and can occasionally get a little bossy with her dog friends, so her ideal buddy will be a confident, playful dog who can keep up with her while also reminding her when it's time to tone it down a notch. She's still a puppy learning appropriate doggy manners, and having a good canine role model will be incredibly important as she grows.

She also loves to RUN. A securely fenced yard is a must for Briar so she has a safe place to zoom, explore, play with her dog buddy, and burn off some of that impressive puppy energy.

Briar does great with the young children in her foster home and loves being part of the family. However, a bunch of new kids coming over can be overwhelming for her. She'll do best with a family that understands the difference between what she's comfortable with at home and what may be a little too much for her.

That's because underneath all that FULL SEND energy is actually a sensitive girl.

At home, Briar is confident, goofy, and ready for action. New people, unfamiliar places, and busy situations can make her shy or timid at first. She needs adopters who won't force her through those moments but will give her time, encouragement, and positive experiences to help build her confidence. Once she realizes she's safe, that silly little Briar starts coming right back out.

She's crate trained, almost fully potty trained, and working hard on her basic commands. She proudly knows what "crate" means because... snacks. She's smart, food motivated, and ready for a family who will continue her training with patience and consistency.

Briar's dream home is one with a securely fenced yard, a confident and playful adult dog, and humans who want a puppy to truly be part of their family. She'll need continued training, structure, patience, plenty of playtime, and people willing to help her experience the world at her own pace.

In return, you get a beautiful brown blur racing through your yard, a goofy playmate, a smart little girl who's eager to learn, and one seriously sweet cuddle buddy when the zoomies finally clock out for the day.

If you're looking for a playful, snuggly puppy with a little sass, a sensitive side, and a whole lot of love to give, Briar might just be your girl.

All puppies are required to be adopted to a home with an adult dog.

Apply at rescueapittie.org!
