Bria is right on the cusp of a medium to large sized dog. She is just the cutest! Bria says about herself: <br/><br/>"Hi there! I'm Bria! I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love for water and my playfulness. I love to snuggle, but I want to be the one to initiate. I need a home where people can let me take things at my speed, and teach me that if I'm uncomfortable, I should walk away and take space. I'm not great at realizing that walking away is an option, so an experienced dog owner who can read dog body language well is a must. I am a lovely girl who is trying to figure out how life in New England works, and I'm doing my best. Crates? Not for me. I will break out. However, I just find a nice couch to chill on when I do, so that's not so bad... <br/><br/>My ideal home is a quiet, chill environment since I tend to get nervous when things are too loud or unfamiliar. It's peaceful serenity for me! Please, please, please be patient with me as I adjust to your home. Other dogs are okay, I like to snuggle with them when I feel like it. Sometimes I do not want them around or to share my humans with them. I'll tell them so with an air snap, so a confident like-sized dog or dogs would be best. I like kids, but older ones might be best so that they can also read my body language, toddlers and screaming and running around is a bit much. Oh yeah, I'm also afraid of stairs. So, I have some quirks, but my goods outweigh the bads! Sometimes a lady just needs some guidance and time to adjust. That's not so much to ask, is it? Anyway, I got great reviews from my foster:<br/><br/>My foster shares: When she gets excited, which is a lot, that tail goes into full wiggle mode! Bria has done well with all the dogs in rescue here, but if she were to live with another dog, a young, confident pup would be ideal to keep her in check. Bria is fine with cats too. The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
