WE HAVE A HEELER! Come by KHS today and meet Brexlee, a 9-year-old Texas Heeler who was surrendered due to needing more attention than her owners could give her, leading her to act out and get into things she shouldn't. She weighs 37 lbs and is affectionate, playful, curious, social, mellow, and friendly. When I went to get her for photos, she immediately ran to the back of the kennel, so I put the divider down and joined her near the back. She seemed a little curious, would accept pets on her side, and allowed me to leash her. Outside, she showed me she knew how to sit and that she was housetrained. We're told she will try to herd children and gets along fine with other dogs, but gets jealous when other dogs are shown attention. She can be mouthy when she roughhouses with other dogs. Brexlee enjoys playing getch, getting pets, tug-o-war, roughhousing, and going on walks. She will go to the door and pace when she needs to go potty. She's extremely smart and knows spin, roll over, crawl, and sit pretty. Her ideal home would have room to run and play, as well as a constant presence!
