Brewer 's Story

Meet Brewer! Brewer is an almost 2 year old male Doberman Pinscher who is looking for a new start.

Brewer's family, who had him since he was a puppy, surrendered him because they did not have time to give him the life he deserves. His family told us that he's great with kids, crate trained, and is very affectionate and loves attention.

Brewer, like most Dobermans, has a shy/timid side to him and may have 'stranger danger' especially in new environments. (anyone who is already familiar with Dobies already knows how big of babies they can be!) He's spooked with thunderstorms & fireworks, and is just a big ol' sensitive boy. it'll be important that his new family take things slowly with him while he adjusts to all of the new surroundings, sounds, smells & routine.

Brewer should do well around other respectful pets as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised, but he may prefer to eat in his own space. He will benefit from someone who can take him on daily walks as he came to us a bit overweight and needs to shed some pounds - luckily with the upcoming nicer weather, he will be so happy to join you!

This boy is so sweet and just needs a little extra time to settle in, and a little extra time for snuggles with his new family - cause that's his favorite!!! If you want an oversized cuddle buddy, follow the link below. We are doing all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application is generally approved:

https://monroecountydogshelter.com/apply-adopt.html

Brewer is now neutered & fully vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200
