Brennan's Story

Hi! I’m Brennan I’m a 7-month-old mixed breed pup, and like my brother Dale, I didn’t get the easiest start in life. Before coming to the shelter, I spent my days in a very small pen with about 30 other dogs, so I missed out on a lot of the things puppies usually get to enjoy—exploring, learning, and just being a dog. But I’m ready to make up for lost time and start my next chapter! I came to the shelter with my brother, and having him around helped me feel brave while everything was new. I get along well with other dogs and find comfort in their company. I can be a bit shy when we first meet, but once I realize I’m safe, my sweet and gentle personality starts to come through more and more each day. What I’m hoping for now is a patient, loving home that will help me build confidence and show me how wonderful life can be. I have so much love waiting to be shared—I just need someone to give me that chance. Great Plains SPCA's Adoption Policy

We are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 11am-7pm. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only. -We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption. -Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18. -Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings. Our expert matchmakers look forward to finding you the perfect furry family member! Adoption Requirements: - Adopter must be 18 years of age or older. - For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets. - Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $450. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
