Bravo's Story

Hello!!

My name is Bravo and my hoomans believe I’m a 3-year-old male German Shepard. Why Bravo you ask? Well, when I came into this magical world, the delivery staff were congratulating my mom on such a handsome little boy and the name stuck. I mean, look at this face and tell me that’s not plausible? That’s the story I tell anyhow!

Now that you’re reading, let’s talk a little more about me! I’m a super gentle giant that enjoys being loved while I put my head on your lap or if you sit on the floor with me. I believe I had a less than perfect childhood so it does take me a few minutes to warm up to people and I get a little skittish to raised voices, even if they aren’t in anger, but I think in the right environment, I will outgrow that with some mutual trust.

I do enjoy my open air crate with my bed and toys to lay in, with the door open, when nothing is going on, and I do well in it when the hoomans have to leave me and my foster sisters to take care of other things....rude, I know! I mean, I do whine a little but hey, I calm down pretty quick. I mean how do you feel when the people you love leave. It’s sad! I really like my outside time playing with my foster sisters and hoomans in the back yard. Beyond the backyard, I’m a champ on the leash and enjoy the walks around the block. Ok, Ok....you caught me!! I like to stop and sniff everything because I’m new here and the smells are amazing! I do not pull or chase though AND I stay close to my hooman, when my sisters do not distract me or a new smell doesn’t jump up my nose and demand my temporary investigations of course! All that said, I am good with other dogs and show no aggression towards them on meeting but I do like to play with them once we are friends. My foster hoomans do not have any other species in their home so I don’t know how I would react, but I think I’d be okay with just about any animal once I meet them. If you have made it this far, I have to admit I’m not perfect and have a little bit of medical stuff going on, but we are working with the doctors to keep my heart right, and I may be in the clear soon (fingers crossed). I can give more details to interested potential family members. I hope that doesn’t scare you because I would like to move into a home full of love with hoomans that have a yard or ability to keep me active while also having the opportunity to chill with a movie and my friends and family too. I hope to meet you soon! Currently fostered in Punta Gorda
