Braveheart's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Braveheart is so very sweet and around 7 months old.

We call him Francis (a Deadpool reference). He is rompy and leaps like a reindeer, so funny and silly. Literally the cuddliest Rottie we have ever met. He is great with everything here - we do not have cats or a ferret anymore, but he is not a chaser other than when he is playing. He is gentle with toys, will chase a ball sometimes, and likes a gentle tug game with humans - a little rougher with the Belgian. They play a lot - she wears him out.

He needs a little more confidence in himself but has come around pretty quickly over the past weeks--positive reinforcement will work best with him. Will work for treats, a little too hard, but he's still very much a puppy. He knows sit, down, and wait - key for doorways. Will come but sometimes hard to keep his attention (puppy). Is a gentleman for the most part on the leash. He sits and waits for his food, so very good at that, he leaps as he walks behind you and then sits on the rug waiting for an "OK".

He is great in his crate - hasn't eaten the plushy bed in there. May fuss a little, but really wants to be a Velcro dog for the most part. Located outside of Washington D.C.
