BRANDY-Star Student's Story

****We are Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S) – Stephenville, TX - We are a small, foster based animal rescue, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, based out of Stephenville, TX. We work to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted cats and dogs in Stephenville and surrounding towns. We have recently expanded our scope to include Hamilton County, TX and are currently working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter.
Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.)’s mission is to sponsor low cost spay/neuter and wellness exams, provide community education and provide food and supplies to those in need. We also do our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or abused animals. Our animals are vaccinated and on preventatives. Animals older than six months are spayed or neutered.
We are in Texas, and we transport our dogs North because Texas is overflowing with unwanted dogs.
If you are interested in learning more about our organization, or any of our animals, please send an email to h4mpounddogs@gmail.com****

BRANDY is LOCATED in TEXAS

Looking for a sweet, young dog, who’s great with kids and other dogs? Perhaps Brandy is the dog for you?

Meet Brandy!!

Brandy is one of six puppies that were found abandoned, this summer, hot and hungry, with their sires, along a county road near Shive, TX. Fortunately, woman volunteered to foster all eight of them. Brandy’ s sires, a red Heeler mom, and a mystery mix dad, have since been adopted. A month or so ago the puppies’ foster decided six growing puppies were way too much for her, so Brandy and her siblings were brought to the Hico, TX Animal Shelter. Luckily for Brandy a lovely couple volunteered to foster her.

Brandy is currently, spending her weekdays at school with her foster mom, (who’s a special education teacher), learning how to walk on leash, the joys of being around kind loving people, and helping the students learn about responsible pet ownership. When Brandy’s not at school, she spends her time playing with the fosters’ other dogs and going out for pup cups. Brandy is learning so much and is ready for a loving home of her own.

Brandy is an ~10 months old, ~30 lbs., spayed female, Red Heeler mix. She’s up to date on vaccines, rabies, Bordatella, and is heartworm negative. She’s on preventatives for fleas/ticks/heartworms. She’s house, crate, and doggie door trained. Brandy is great with other dogs and gains confidence from them. We don’t know how she is with cats or livestock.

Brandy is gaining so much confidence from her time in her new foster’s home and in the classroom with the children, we believe she will be a great family pet. We feel Brandy will do well in a home with another dog and people who love her.
If interested in possibly adopting Brandy, please send an email to h4mpounddogs@gmail.com

We’d love to tell you all about her.

*Our ADOPTION fee is $300
**If necessary, our TRANSPORT fee, outside of Texas, $300
We only use trusted, reputable transport to deliver our dogs to their new families.
