Brady (VA)'s Story

Brady is a handsome 3 year old Black and Tan Coonhound boy waiting in the Richmond area for a new home after being picked up as a stray. After spending 3 months in the shelter, he's now thriving in a home environment and has shown everyone what a great dog he is. He's excellent with cats and other dogs, loves to ride in the car, and is a dream on leash. Whether it's a walk around the neighborhood or a road trip adventure, he's all in. He's a playful guy that enjoys romping with other dogs and playing with toys, but his favorite place to be is right next to his person. He truly wants to bond and be part of his person's day-to-day life. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, playful, smart companion, Brady might be your perfect match.

Brady currently weighs 64 pounds, with his ideal weight being 70 pounds. He has settled nicely into the routine of his foster home and caught on quickly to housetraining. He is working on cratetraining. Brady is currently learning the basic skills for nosework, and he absolutely loves it. This has proven to be a fun way for him to use his natural hound instincts and build confidence, and he would thrive with someone interested in continuing scent work or enrichment activities.
