Boyers's Story

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN OVERLOOKED BECAUSE YOUR APPEARANCE DIDNT WOW SOMEONE, BEEN PASSED OVER IN FAVOR OF SOMEONE ELSES GLITZY ALLURE, FELT INVISIBLE BECAUSE THE WORLD WAS BLIND TO YOUR INNER BEAUTY? If so, you will relate to Boyers story. Boyers came from a hoarding situation where he lived with over 70 chihuahuas, so he is used to being with little dogs. He has also lived successfully with a cat! He has soft, soulful eyes. Yet day after day, he watches as the diminutive divas, the tiny titan chihuahuas, the fashionable poodles, the trendy French bulldogs, & the fluffy doodles are all chosen before he is.

So one of our kind volunteers took Boyers home as a temporary foster to give him a break from the kennel & to assess his behavior in a home. She discovered that he is an easy keeper & a very well-behaved house pet. He immediately loved the peaceful environment of a home & lay quietly on a cushy dog bed. He loved the long leash walks, walked without pulling, & was totally non-reactive when he passed other dogs being walked. He adapted immediately to the routine of the household & never had one accident. But if the routine had to be changed, Boyers accepted that too. He is crate trained, & when the volunteer had to leave the house, he waited quietly & patiently for her to return. When the volunteer was cleaning or studying, Boyers amused himself with toys something he probably never had. He loves enrichment puzzles & mental games. Once Boyers knows you, he is playful, affectionate, sweet, & gentle, & he rolls over for belly rubs.

Boyers just thrives in a quiet, peaceful home, & he deserves so much more than the confines of a kennel run. Please make an appointment to meet this wonderful fellow. THERE IS NOTHING...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...THAT RIVALS THE SATISFACTION YOU WILL GET WHEN BOYERS LOOKS UP AT YOU...QUIETLY, GENTLY, SOULFULLY...& SAYS THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME A CHANCE.

If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared - bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open 11-5 pm.

The Pennsylvania SPCA - Main Line Animal Rescue
1149 Pike Springs Rd
Chester Springs, PA 19425
Kennel #2857
610-933-0606
info@mlar.org
