Bowie's Story
What makes Bowie truly special—beyond his striking good looks—is his loving and playful nature. This 1-year-and-4-month-old, 40 lbs sweetheart is a happy, affectionate pup who absolutely adores giving and receiving love. He has a joyful spirit and brings a wonderful mix of fun energy and sweet companionship to everyone he meets.

Bowie is super friendly and gets along beautifully with other dogs. He loves walks, adventures, and exploring new places, and he approaches the world with confidence. He’s a ball-chasing, tug-of-war champion who enjoys playtime, but he’s also incredibly smart and learns quickly. After playing with his foster siblings, he’s just as happy to relax and cuddle up with his foster family for some quiet affection.

He is currently being fostered in Danbury, CT, in a home with three other dogs and two cats, and he’s thriving in a loving, structured environment. Bowie would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can safely play and burn off his energy. He would thrive with an active person or alongside another dog companion, but he’d also be perfectly happy as your one and only pup.

Respectful children would make a wonderful match for Bowie, especially since he still gets excited and may jump up to say hello.

Bowie is also a true survivor. After enduring a hit-and-run accident, a kind witness stepped in to help, and thanks to the incredible team at SOS el Arca Animal Rescue, he received the urgent care he needed. He has made a fantastic recovery and is now healthy, happy, and ready to begin his next chapter.

He is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He has been 4DX tested for heartworm, Lyme, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia, and is on Simparica Trio for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He has also been dewormed.

This beautiful boy is ready to start his new life with someone who will love and cherish him forever. He has the charm, the energy, and the biggest heart—now he just needs his person. If you’re interested in meeting Bowie, please email us at sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com to learn more.
