Bowie

Meet Bowie! One blue eye, one brown eye, and a whole lot of scruffy charm! Meet Bowie, an adorable little terrier mix weighing approximately 14 pounds. The vet estimates his age is about 11 months. Named after the legendary David Bowie, whose famously unusual eyes became part of his signature look, our Bowie has a striking pair of his own!

Bowie came to us from a hoarding situation, so he's still learning to trust people and navigate new experiences. Of the three little dogs who arrived together, Bowie is the most comfortable around people, and he's already making encouraging progress! During a recent photo session, Bowie was understandably frightened at first, but it didn't take long before he was accepting treats and choosing to sit near our volunteers. His vet said he was a little shy but very sweet. Those may seem like little things, but for a dog learning to trust, they're wonderful steps forward! He's also beginning to learn to walk on a leash.

Bowie will need a patient, understanding family who will let him settle in at his own pace. A little reassurance, a consistent routine, and plenty of kindness will help this scruffy little fellow continue building his confidence. He's already showing us that he's willing to give people a chance! With his unforgettable eyes, tousled coat, and endearing appearance, Bowie is truly one of a kind. He's ready for his next chapter, and we can't wait to see him shine! Apply at caninecollective.org.
