Bourbon

Meet your new four-legged sidekick, professional crumb hunter, and part-time lap dog!💙

At about a year old, he's still got plenty of young-dog energy--and he's ready to put it to good use! He loves playing with other dogs, spending time with people, going for walks, and pretty much anything that involves being part of the action. At the shelter, he's especially excited to see his fan club of volunteers and loves getting out of his kennel to go do something fun. And, honestly, he thinks just about anything is fun!

Once he's out and about, he's a great companion. He walks nicely on a leash and checks in with his person regularly--whether he's exploring, walking around town, or having a blast with his dog friends.🐾 He's the kind of dog who wants to know, "Hey, what are we doing next?"

At home, give him a comfy spot at your feet and a bully stick, and he's perfectly happy to settle in for some quality relaxation. He's also part Roomba, so if you've ever wished for a dog who could help keep your kitchen floor crumb-free, your search may be over.

He's a great car rider and loves going new places, making him a fun companion for someone who enjoys taking their dog along. He is still a young guy, though, and sometimes his enthusiasm comes with all four feet leaving the ground--and possibly a surprise kiss to the face!💋 Because he can get a little rowdy when excited, a home without small children would be the best fit.

He's playful, affectionate, social, and ready to go! His ideal home would be with an active person who has experience with high-energy dogs and is excited to keep building on his education. With his enthusiasm for life, love of people, and knack for making every outing fun, he's got all the makings of a ride-or-die, once-in-a-lifetime BFF. If that sounds like your kind of dog, come meet him!

Bourbon: High-proof energy, 100% loyal.HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight.
