Bottle Rocket's Story

Bottle Rocket and his siblings were born in rescue on July 5th! Now old enough to find his own home, little Mr Bottle Rocket is ready to head out on his own! Since they have been raised in a rescue home, he has already become a little spoiled and loves to give and receive affection. He uses papers at this point for potty, but has received enough puppy shots to now begin outside potty training and leash walking with his new family.

Breed? Well, that is a good question. All we know for sure is that his momma is small (under 10 pounds) and resembles a dachshund/chihuahua mix with some wire-haired something (JRT?) thrown in. Of all the puppies, Bottle Rocket looks the most like his momma. All other dogs that we are aware of in the surrender home were also small breeds, so we do expect him to be under 20 pounds as well. Bottle Rocket has never met a cat so it would probably be a learning process for him. He loves the people, however! Like all puppies, he needs to work on his good dog skills, and be re-directed to appropriate toys for chewing, etc. He is the most vocal of the puppies, although not yappy for no reason. He would make a great family dog for someone looking to introduce a puppy into their home

Coastal Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected). Out of Area Coastal Pet Rescue does not ship or "transport" animals out of area. All adopters must be available to come to Savannah, GA to complete the adoption after approval. Microchip: CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf. Adoption Fees: Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
