Boscoe's Story

****When responding PLEASE use application at sparrowdogs.com, or you can also provide your information via email, such as:home, family, yard/fence, other pets, ages of people in the home, work hours...Thanks!

Meet our sweet little Boscoe man!! And yes, he is every bit as sweet as he is cute! Boscoe LOVES everyone, dogs, people, kids...not sure about cats, but considering his friendly personality he would probably want to play with them.

Boscoe is 2 years old and about 8 pounds. He could be a long haired Chihuahua, or perhaps he has a little Pomeranian or Papillon mixed in? Who knows, and who cares, he is adorable!! He is also very well mannered, listens well and is housebroken. Not to say you will not have to reinforce those behaviors in your own house until he figures out where the potty place is, just a matter of him settling in and some guidance from his new family.

Boscoe is small and sweet, but he is also a very active boy. HE does like to cuddle, but he is a wiggler and a squirmer, lol, until he is tired enough to settle down. The world is so full of wonder and excitement and he wants to explore it all!! HE is NOT the dog for a sedentary person, he will need an active lifestyle, lots of outdoor time and does not do well being left alone for long hours( he wails!). But, he will be perfect for an active homebody, someone that perhaps works from home, loves working in their gardens, or even wants a little cutie to carry in a little carrier. He is friendly with everyone so would be happy to go with you on social outings. Boscoe has a huge and silly personality. We call him Mr. Slithers, lol. HE will spot us out in the yard and crouch down in the grass and slither towards us, what a goof!! He keeps us laughing!

We are suggesting no small children, they could easily hurt him unintentionally. He will be fine with older kids and other happy and social dogs. If you are interested in Boscoe, please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $450.

Eye on the Sparrow's Adoption Policy
We try to make adopting a dog or cat a pleasant and fairly easy experience but also try to make the best possible fit for each dog or cat and the people involved. After being contacted by an individual we will respond with an email and attach an application as well. We will follow up with any questions or concerns and will do a phone consult as well. Remember all or our dogs are at volunteer foster homes and we do our best to get back to any inquiries as soon as is possible. Adoption fees help defer many of expenses such as medical care or other costs incurred by the dogs and are usually around $250, although some of the dogs can be adopted for less due to sponsors, special needs and senior programs, and some of the more "sought" after breeds and puppies generally have a higher adoption fee to help (pays for the extra surgeries, meds..so we can take special needs dogs).
