Bosco's Story

Hi, I'm Bosco!
I'm paralyzed but I still have 100% of my Frenchie energy and attitude.
I have IVDD, but I do have deep pain sensation (I can feel my toes!) And I'm using my legs more and more. I can even stand and take a couple of steps!
My foster mom does physio exercises with me to keep my muscles strong.
I am incontinent and wear diapers. I do urinate but I can't control when. My foster mom expresses my bladder to make sure it's truly empty so I don't get a UTI.
It's easy, and she can show you how.
Like a lot of frenchies, I have allergies so I eat a special food. It's not good to give me other kinds of food because I get skin rashes very easily. As long as I stay on my food and I get my regular baths, my coat is shiny and low shedding.
I'm very good at walking on a leash in my wheels, and I love saying "Hi" to everyone in the neighbourhood on my walks.
I especially love meeting other dogs and kids.
I'm a good apartment dog but I will bark when I think someone is at the door… even if nobody is actually at the door.
I'm well behaved with small kids and other animals. I haven't even tried to eat my human sister's guinea pig! I'm a rough player though, so I wouldn't be a good match for a timid dog, or one with low patience.

My adoption fee is $395
An adoption application and home visit is required

You can find the adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your web browser

www.lowermainlandhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/
