BOSCO's Story

Bosco has been adopted by a lovely couple in Monroe, NJ. It was a match made in heaven.
And that was the final dog adopted out by All Star Pet Rescue, yes, we are closing our doors. We may courtesy post dogs for other groups but after 20 years, we are hanging up our leashes. Thanks to all our adopters and supporters thru the years. You were all an important and cherished part of the All Star family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If interested in adopting Bosco, please go to our webpage and complete an application: www.allstarpetrescue.com. Only homes in NJ will be considered.

BOSCO came to us after his caretaker passed away and he needed a new place to stay. He came from a quiet home with an elderly owner to a more rambunctious environment with several foster dogs for companions. While he adjusted well, he would probably do best in a less stimulating environment. He gets along ok with the crew but he will give a warning growl if they invade his space. He would be fine living with another, calm dog. A home without young children would probably be best.

Bosco likes just hanging on the couch with us and appreciates pets and belly rubs. He loves to go for walks and he lets me know when he needs to go outside. He gets especially excited when he sees his dinner and has a very hardy appetite.

Word of caution...he is PETRIFIED of thunder/fireworks/loud noises. He needs to be made to feel safe during these episodes and to be kept well contained inside the house.

Bosco is a bit older (8 years) but he is healthy and shows no signs of slowing down. He is neutered, up to date with shots, microchipped and recently groomed (the groomer loved him by the way). He weighs 18 pounds.

This will be the last dog that will be adopted out by All Star Pet Rescue. We will be closing our doors and not taking in any new pups . We are aging out of the hustle required to maintain a dog rescue operation and am stepping aside to let the younger ones take over. We've assisted in helping almost 1000 dogs since our inception and it's time to hang up our leashes. But we will always stand behind and be here for any animal who was adopted from our rescue. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and for taking our pups into your homes.

Our Mission
All Star Pet Rescue is an all volunteer organization formed in April, 2006. While we started solely as an adoption agency, we now take in mainly seniors and hospice cases who just need a place to lay their heads in the twilight of their lives. We still do occasional adoptions but we really try to help the older dogs who a...
