Boris's Story

Boris is a friendly, enthusiastic guy who approaches life with a "full speed ahead" attitude—even if his back legs sometimes have other ideas. An old hind-end injury means he has a unique bunny-hop style of getting around and can lose his balance easily, but don't tell Boris he's supposed to slow down. With the help of his daily Carprofen, he's feeling much more comfortable and happily trots along on walks, stopping to investigate every interesting smell along the way. He can currently manage gentle stairs, though his future family should be prepared to help him with a sling as he ages.

When he's not out exploring, Boris is busy pursuing his two greatest passions: affection and snacks. If you have hands, he expects them to be used for scritches. If you stop petting him, he'll politely (or not so politely) roll over for belly rubs and insist that the session continue. And treats? Boris has never met a snack he didn't love. The sight of food is enough to make him bounce up and down on his butt with pure joy.

Boris has also shown that he's quite the social guy. He passed his dog test and enjoyed meeting another canine friend, and he also passed his cat test. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he'd likely do best with a dog-savvy cat that won't be bothered by his goofy excitement.

Boris is currently eating a limited-ingredient diet to keep his skin feeling its best, and he's looking for a family who will help him stay comfortable while spoiling him with the love he so richly deserves. If you're searching for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, keep your hands busy with belly rubs, and remind you to appreciate the simple things in life, Boris might just be your perfect match.
