He was found outside when the heat index had climbed to 107 degrees, exhausted and alone. Thankfully, he made it to safety, but what he really needs now is a place to call home.<br/>Boots is the kind of dog who doesn't ask for much. He's a quiet, gentle soul who absolutely loves going for walks. He's wonderful on a leash, enjoys exploring the world at your side, and is happiest spending time with someone who simply wants his company.<br/>Boots would do best in a home without cats. He can do well with other dogs, especially those who respect his space, but he should have a meet-and-greet before joining a home with another dog to make sure everyone is a good match.<br/>After a year in the shelter, we're starting to see the wait weigh on him. The bright, hopeful boy who survived that scorching summer day is growing quieter and sadder with each passing week. He deserves more than a kennel.
