Boone - foster me puhleeeze!'s Story
Boone is currently in boarding near Somerset, Kentucky, US and he is ready for adoption!

Boone was found hungry, scared, dirty and all alone in the Daniel Boone National Forest of Kentucky, sadly. We don't know how long he was wandering, so hungry, looking for something to put in his belly. How long was he being bitten by bugs, swarmed by fleas and sucked on by ticks. Stray dogs have such hard lives!

But he was found before he starved to death, thanks to Rhonda W who trapped him, and the Pulaski County Humane Society that stepped up to help him start a new life. Boone is enjoying his temporary life in boarding, getting regular meals, getting pets from kennel staff, and running around the play yard.

Boone is exuberant when he gets out of his kennel to play, and he sings the song of his people with gusto. Boone loves affection and is a good listener! He is all hound!

More about me:
--4 years old, estimated
--he has been treated for heartworms and is now ready for adoption
--missing hair on his hips is a result of his heartworm shots and they should fill in eventually
--currently about 50 lbs -- we need a new weigh-in
--does not do well in crates, but could be trained
--leash training is a work in progress
--excellent with people and dogs
--not tested with cats

To apply to adopt Boone, please fill out this application:

https://www.coonhoundrescue.ca/adoption-application

Thank you! You can help a beautiful coonhound have a good life!

(Please note that the adoption fee for Boone is in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.)
