Boone's Story

**Adoption Pending** Boone is a big-boned, handsome gentleman Doberman about 6 years old. He is black and rust with natural ears and a docked tail. He was picked up as a stray by a local shelter with an injured front leg. A trip to our veterinarian showed that Boone’s elbow was completely dislocated and had been for some time. Poor Boone was in tremendous pain, so our veterinarian amputated the limb and now Boone is doing great and has adjusted well to being a “tripod.” We love this dog! He is mellow, affectionate and obedient and obviously had good care before he was “lost.” He is fine with female dogs and probably can live with social male dogs too. Boone is crate-trained and we think he may housebroken. Boone is a classic male Doberman that anyone would be lucky to have as a companion. Boone takes a thyroid supplement twice a day.
