BOONE's Story

A Little Shy, A Whole Lot Sweet
Meet Boone—A Cuddle Sponge Looking for His Person!

Boone may be a little shy at first, but once he's out of the shelter hustle and bustle, his sweet side starts to shine. This gentle boy soaks up love and cuddles like a sponge—and apparently, he has a special appreciation for a good booty scratch!

Toys haven't really caught his attention yet. Why chase a squeaky toy when you can enjoy quality time with your favorite human? Boone has an easygoing energy and is a lovely, easy walker, making him a wonderful companion for relaxed strolls and quiet adventures.

He also seems quite interested in his fellow dogs, offering friendly hellos as they pass by. Whether he's saying a casual hello or hoping he's just spotted his long-lost best friend, we're still figuring that part out!

Boone is quickly becoming a shelter team favorite, and it's easy to see why. Give this sweet, gentle boy a little patience, affection, and time to warm up, and you may just find a devoted cuddle buddy waiting to be yours.

This sweet boy recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine. He wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as he gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, he’ll be ready to show us his silly side with other dogs. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match! Check out his playgroup video here:

To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
