Boone's Story

This is Boone!
Boone is a very special coonhound who had a difficult start to young life with several medical complications. Medically, his issues have all been resolved and he is now living as a healthy, super happy boy! He was born in February, he is just over 6 months old now and climbing his way to 30 lbs. We do not believe he will be a full sized Coonhound, but are not sure how big he might actually grow.

You might notice his eyes look a little funny, Boone was born with some neurological differences but he has been checked and cleared and will go on to live a long normal life. His field of vision is just a little different, but he can see just fine to navigate all things! He's a pro at using the dog door, the stairs, and his own pen.

Boone loves to have room to explore, following that hound nose around and checking things out. He does enjoy a good snuggle at night before bedtime. He sleeps amazing in his own crate and is working on house training but doing great. Boone would love to have another young dog to play with, he thinks everyone is a friend but he would do fine on his own also. He does wonderful for car rides, absolutely knows they are just extra nap times for him!

Boone is so special, and honestly after everything he has been through, he is such a great dog. He is friendly, well-mannered, and capable of learning so much. He is more than his medical history and he is looking for a family to see that and who is ready to give him the best life and help him reach his full potential!

TO MEET THIS DOG:
Please fill out an application here: https://www.rescued-treasures.com/dog-application/

This dog is being fostered in St Lawrence County, NY by Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions. We are not a shelter, but a foster home based rescue and these animals are all housed individually with foster families. Please review our application carefully and ensure everyone in the family is ready for the lifelong responsibility of a canine companion.
