Boomer's Story

Boomer is 3 and a half years old, and if we're being honest, this boy has gotten the short end of the stick in life.
He didn't come from the best home, and his story is a long one- one we could talk about for hours. Boomer came in through dog control with his son and was never claimed, although we were able to make contact with his previous owners.
Boomer is a dog who lacks confidence, but he is trying so hard. He does very well with training, and once he starts to trust you, you see the sweet, playful boy underneath all of the uncertainty. He is extremely sweet and absolutely love playing tug of war- and we mean loves it.
Boomer would do best in a home without cats and without children. He can also be dog selective, so a meet and greet would be required with any other dogs in the home. This boy deserves a chance. He deserves someone who understands that not every dog comes with an easy past, but that does not mean they aren't worthy of a beautiful future
If you are interested in meeting Boomer, please contact us here at the shelter. We would be happy to talk to you more about his past, his needs, and the kind of home that would help him finally feel safe and loved.
