Boomer's Story

Meet Boomer, the chunky little bruiser of Mama Indy’s litter!

Boomer is the second biggest puppy of the bunch and another one who looks completely different from his siblings. With his beautiful white and brindle coloring, chunky little body and adorable face, he definitely stands out in the crowd.

This boy is FUN. Boomer is playful, happy, social and always ready to get in on whatever his brothers and sisters are doing. He has that wonderfully chunky puppy build that makes everything he does just a little more entertaining.

Mama Indy is a small Beagle mix weighing around 14 pounds, and Dad is completely unknown. Since Boomer is one of the larger puppies in the litter, he may end up a little bigger than Mama, but breed and adult size are always our best guess with rescue puppies.

Boomer was born in our care and has spent his first eight weeks safely growing up alongside his mama and siblings. He has known love and security from the beginning, and now we want to make sure he finds a forever family committed to giving him that same stability for the rest of his life.

At only eight weeks old, Boomer is still a complete infant with absolutely no training. He is not house trained, crate trained or leash trained. His new family needs to be prepared for potty accidents, puppy teeth, training, socialization, supervision and everything else that comes with raising a baby dog. Puppies are adorable, but they are also a full-time job.

Because Boomer is still completing his puppy vaccine series, he cannot safely be on public shared surfaces for approximately the next eight weeks. His adopter will need a safe plan for potty training, play, exercise and appropriate socialization during this important developmental stage.

Boomer’s ideal family will have a house with a securely fenced backyard, a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to raising and training a puppy. Another friendly, well-socialized dog in the home would be ideal.

If you’re ready for all the work and all the fun that comes with puppyhood and want a chunky, white-and-brindle little character to grow up by your side, Boomer might be your perfect boy.

Adoption fee is 500

Underdog Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for reading about our awesome dogs. All dogs came to us from different situations and we often do not know much about their past, but they are rescue dogs who deserve a second chance and need patience on their journey. All of our dogs our are in foster homes all across the bay area. The first step of the process is you must submit an application in order to set up a meet and great or talk with the foster family. Once application is submitted the foster parents will contact you to chat more about the dog and make sure they're a good fit and can answer any further question. The application answers most of all of our questions and can best match you. If you do not get the dog you apply for we can use your same application for 90 days towards another dog in our care and simply forward your app to that foster parent. **Reminder we are all volunteers working hard to save these dogs, some dogs may receive 20+ application to all be reviewed. We do our best to respond to all apps as we can. Please be patient and feel free to send us a follow up email if needed. http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application All dogs will be fully vetted (Spay/ Neutered, Micro chipped, DHPP and Rabies Vaccinated) and other possible vet care prior to adoption. The adoption fees vary by animal and are considered a non refundable donation Visit us at www.underdogca.com or follow us on IG@underdoganimalrescueca https://www.facebook.com/underdogCA A little more about us: Underdog Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue serving the Bay Area of Northern California. Since our start in 2014, we have built an outstanding team and have grown into a strong network of volunteers dedicated to saving the Underdogs in our shelters and community. We have dedicated our efforts to giving a second chance to the dogs that are most in need (medically or behaviorally) and the dogs that have been overlooked for too long. As a foster based rescue, Underdog places dogs in temporary foster homes where they can decompress and get the love and affection that they need. Dogs are also vaccinated, spayed/neutered and receive any other medical treatment needed before finding their forever home. Rescue is undoubtedly hard and trying work but it is entirely worth it to see the life of a dog saved. As a rescue, we believe it is our duty to save the dogs that really need our help; the dogs that need a little TLC, a little medical care, or just someone to believe in them again. This is why we save the dogs that are on their last days at the shelter or haven't even been given a chance to be adopted by the public. As much as we love those sweet puppy eyes, we think more of saving their mommy’s and daddy’s that have been shoved to the back of the shelter awaiting their fate. Thank you for seeing what we do and loving us for it. It’s only because of our outstanding community, foster families and volunteers that we are able to continue our efforts.
