Bookie's Story
THE EYES HAVE IT
from Cynthia Branigan

Have you ever seen more beautiful eyes than those of Bookie (racing name Call The Bookie)?
This 60-pound girl, who will be three on April 1st, is definitely looking for someone; but who?
Her foster dad says she is an incredible athlete who loves, and needs, either long, daily walks or the chance to let off steam in a big, fenced yard. She'll even play fetch with you--although don't necessarily expect her to bring the ball back!
And yet, when not on the go, Bookie sleeps contentedly when her foster parents are at work.
She gets along beautifully with the seven-year-old, 85-pound male Greyhound in the house, but would not be compatible with cats or small dogs.
Bookie is a lover and a friend to everyone she meets. At times, she even thinks she's a lap dog!
At a recent 'well dog' check-up, she practically smothered the vet in kisses. She received a clean bill of health, by the way, and her teeth are pearly white.
If you have an active lifestyle and want to include a canine companion in your adventures, Bookie could be the girl you are seeking!
