Bonnie's Story

Meet Bonnie - Tiny but Mighty! <br/><br/>Looking for a loyal best friend who'll guard your couch, heart, and snack stash with fierce devotion? Meet Bonnie, a 1-year-old Rat Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a small, adorable body!<br/><br/>Bonnie knows what (and who) she likes - and she's not afraid to say it. Men with beards? Hard pass. Kids? Let's just say she prefers a quieter crowd. But single ladies, take note - once Bonnie decides you're her person, she'll be your pint-sized protector, constant companion, and professional lap warmer.<br/><br/>She's sassy, loyal, and full of charm - a little dog with big "main character energy."<br/><br/> Bonnie's dream home? A calm household, plenty of treats, no beards, no kids - just her favorite lady and a comfy lap to call her own!<br/><br/>Our adoption process is usually quick but may take up to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application on our website, PawsUp4Rescue.org/adopting as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require them to be present at the meeting to ensure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalize the adoption.<br/><br/>If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for 6 months and will gladly consider your family for another dog.<br/><br/>Follow us on FACEBOOK: www.Facebook.com/PawsUp4RescueJoliet/<br/>on INSTAGRAM: www.Instagram.com/PawsUp4RescueJoliet/

Paws Up 4 Rescue's Adoption Policy
1. The first step is to fill out an application on our website PawsUp4Rescue.org/adoptions. This lets us know you are serious about adopting. We will call and check with your vet to make certain your current pets are up-to-date on their vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered. If you rent, we will also check with your landlord to make sure it's okay that you are adding a family member to your household. 2. The next step is to set up a time to meet your potential pet. If you've already met and fallen in love at one of our adoption events, we can proceed to set up a home visit to see how the animal gets along with the other residents of your home. *Home visits are for the purpose of assessing the relationship between all animals in the home. 3. If all goes well, we proceed to the paperwork stages and end with a new family photograph to share on our Facebook page!
